. Filmmaker . Sound Recordist .

Want to know about my career so far?

George Carey is a 20-year-old aspiring Sound Recordist and Designer based in Cheltenham, currently studying at the University of Gloucester. He has a proficient understanding of equipment and has had various experience working both on location and in a studio environment. George has worked on several productions like; “Locked In” (2017) a tragic drama about a young man suffering from locked-in-syndrome, and “Harriet” (2018), a road movie where two foster kids run away in search of their real mother. For both these films, George worked again in the role of sound-man, and he is thoroughly looking forward to showcasing works in the future.

The work listed above is work I have done as part of my University of Gloucestershire's Film Production degree. At this present time, I am a third-year student, graduating later this year. I am extremely proud of the work I have done and the opportunities that have been given to me have really taught me my craft.

I have just finished the production of my graduate film Crunch Time (acting as a Sound Recordist on set), and I am now going into the post-production to start work as the Sound Designer for the project too. This is going to be a chance for me to showcase the skills I have learned over the course of my three years as a student and will be something that I hope will propel me further into a sound career.
